Katrina C. James

March 19, 1979 - January 6, 2022

Our beloved Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Niece, Cousin, and Friend, Katrina Clarice James left this earth suddenly, and way too soon on January 6, 2022.

Katrina was born on March 19, 1979 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harold and Bettie Robinson. She was the little sister of 8 children, but the fiercest of them all. Katrina grew up in the Kearns/West Valley area, where she was currently raising her children. Her life revolved around her children, and grandchildren. They were her everything! She loved spending time with her family, playing spades, fishing, and riding motorcycles.

Katrina was the most loyal, loving, and caring person. She had many adversities in her life that she triumphed over. She was a fighter and proudly held her head high, overcoming whatever life threw at her. Despite her own personal turmoil, she always put those she loved before herself. Her charitable character was unmatched. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for those she loved. She never gave anyone the option to deny her the right to defend her family, and friends.

Katrina was the life of the party, and her feisty personality lit up any room she entered. There were countless fun times and adventures we all experienced with her. She was everyone’s best friend, and confidant. She was the glue that held our family together.

There are no words to describe the devastating void her passing has created in our hearts, and lives.

She is survived by her children; Teeshawn Jackson, Keyanna (Alonso) Robinson, Semanjah (Britney) James, Kymani Murphy, and Mikah Haggard. Grandchildren; Carter Jackson, Quavon Robinson, and Keyanna’s unborn child. Her mother; Bettie (John) Robinson.  Siblings; Lyndee (Troy) Diamond, Lara (Shayne) Adams, Ricky Adams, Sherri (Troy) Trujillo, Jesse Robinson, James (Misty) Robinson, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

She is proceeded in death by Harold Robinson Sr.(Father), Harold Robinson Jr.(Brother), Kenrod James(Son), Hayley Ellertson(Niece), Korey MacArt(Cousin), Bruce St. Dennis(Uncle), and many other family members.

A Viewing will be held at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 6:00 P.M to 8:00 PM, along with Funeral Services held on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM with Viewing from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. Interment to follow (12:00 P.M) at Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery 10055 South State Street, Sandy.

Saying she will be missed by all that knew her is an understatement. We’ll always love and, remember her and keep her spirit alive in our hearts. We love you Katrina and can’t wait for the day we see you again.

I only knew Trina for a brief time while she was employed at Discover, but she made quite the impact! She was definetly invested in her development and growth with the company. During our last coaching session, her and I celebrated her accomplishments and she had such a fire in her to continue and grow with the company. I am happy to have encountered Trina and her positivity, if even for the brief moment that it was. Our team will truly not be the same without her. Sending her family so much love and prayers during this time.
