"Gone Fishing" 

Kenneth Charles Miller II, know as KC to his family and friends, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

KC was born to Kenneth Charles Miller and Virginia Burt Miller in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 3, 1972. He graduated from Olympus High School in 1990 where he lettered in wrestling and went on to earn his Associates Degree at the College of Eastern Utah. KC achieved the honorable rank of Eagle Scout and always tried to live by that code. He acquired many skills while on this earth and he was always looking for ways to learn more and teach others.

KC had a brilliant mind and was constantly inventing new and better ways of doing things. He had an amazing imagination, sweet personality, and could at times be a bit mischievous. He loved the great outdoors and found peace in Nature. KC loved birds, especially hummingbirds and enjoyed watching them flitting around his backyard. He always had a soft spot for animals, one time watching over and caring for a mother duck who had wandered into his yard to build a nest and lay her eggs. He loved flowers and knew many species and varieties by heart. He loved to hike and explore and take pictures of mountains and waterfalls, but his greatest passion was fishing. He especially enjoyed fishing at Strawberry Reservoir and Jordanelle. KC was a great fisherman and he loved talking to other fisherman, getting and giving tips on how to get their next big catch. 

KC had many opportunities to travel the world. He saw many beautiful places, among them Japan, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Canada. He loved the water and spent hours snorkeling in Hawaii, walking the beaches of California, and exploring and fishing the many lakes and rivers in Canada. He also enjoyed skiing at Snowbird where he was a massage therapist. 

KC had the brightest and most incredible smile. It could light up a room. His laughter was infectious and he loved telling jokes and making people happy. Because of his generous spirit he made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed talking to and listening to people. He had a gift for making people feel valued and appreciated. He was thoughtful and had such a loving and caring heart. He genuinely loved giving of himself to help others and you could see it in his demeanor. 

KC loved the night sky, especially the stars and constellations. He was a prolific night owl, staying up to watch the first golden rays of the sunrise bathe the horizon. He loved sunsets, thunderstorms, and lightning. 

KC loved steak, pizza, Subway, The Cheesecake Factory, and Cool Ranch Doritos. He was a grill master extraordinaire and loved making bacon stuffed mushrooms for his girlfriend. No food was ever complete without his beloved Heinz ketchup. 

The world is a lesser place without him in it. He will be truly missed by those who had the honor of knowing him and being a part of his life. He was cherished, adored, and treasured while on this earth, and though he is no longer with us, those feelings will continue on in the hearts of those who love him.

KC will be forever remembered by his parents Ken and Ginni Miller, and by his brothers and sisters Jeremy (Angie) Miller, Jennifer (Jay) Matero, and Mindy Walkingshaw. He will also be forever remembered by his beloved girlfriend, Jessie and his numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Unseen, unheard but always near,

Still loved, still missed and very dear." 

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.  Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking provided on the north side of the building.  He will be laid to rest in a private family service at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
