Kent Robert Parker

October 16, 1963 - January 16, 2014

Kent Robert Parker –loving and caring husband, doting and attentive father, devoted brother, and a father-figure uncle to many, loyal and witty friend, avid fisherman, fearless 4-wheeler and snowmobiler, and champion dart player, left mortality unexpectedly Thursday, January 16.  Kent was an amazing and caring father to his four children who love him greatly.  He spent many rich hours with them in their family cabin in the mountains. He enriched the lives of family and friends with his humor, selflessness, and endless capacity to love and listen. He will always be treasured, cherished and celebrated for his legacy.

Kent was born in Provo, Utah, and lived in Bountiful for his young life.  He went to school at Tolman Elementary, Centerville Junior High, and graduated from Viewmont High School.  Kent then served an LDS mission in North Carolina.   After returning he received a degree at Utah State University.  He was employed as a computer systems analyst and resided in Draper. He and his wife, Lisa, were the owners of Carls Café in Cottonwood Heights.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale D. Parker, and Donna Gene Smith Parker, and his brother, Scott Lee Parker.   Kent leaves behind his best friend, companion, and wife, Lisa Eisiminger Parker, as well as his children, Madison Suliafu (Jamie), Preston, Lindzi, and Taylor Parker.  He is survived by his older brother, Mike (Chris), and sister, Becky, and many family members who adored and loved him.

A celebration of Kent’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East in Salt Lake City, where complimentary valet parking will be provided on the north side of the building.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Children of Kent Parker at Wells Fargo Bank.

In Loving Memory
