Keyon Lameatrice C. Harris

March 4, 1994 - October 12, 2024

Keyon was born in Granada, Mississippi, where he was born and lived until the young age of 7 years old. Keyon then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he planted his roots and attended Lincoln Elementary, Clayton Middle School and Highland Highschool graduating class of 2012. At the young age of 1 year old, Keyon was diagnosed with diabetes. This was a hard diagnosis for him and his mother but with the help of his family, friends and amazing nurse, Cristy Barclay (may she continue to rest in peace) they were able to help keep him on track.

He had many interests and likes in his life, some of them being camping, spending time with family and friends, basket ball, rap music and hiking. His laugh could be heard and recognized from miles away. Keyon’s most prized joy in life was being a father to his son, Kayceton and two bonus children, Annabre and Noah.

Keyon built a foundation in his work at Ryders, where his coworkers became his second family.

Keyon is survived by his son Kayeton Keyon Harris-Burnside, two bonus children Annabre Burnside and Noah Burnside. He is survived by his Mother Demeatrice Ann Harris, Father Anthony Terrell Davis(Doris Davis), sisters: MariAnna Nicole Harris, TatiAnna Makiah C. A. Harris, Carmen Monet Ashely Harris. His half sister, Rachelle Carter(Marks, Mississipi) and half brother, Triandous (Houston, Texas). His Grandparents, MaryAnn Harris, Pearl Davis, Robert Huddleston (Chinito Huddleston) and with lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones who loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Albert Harris.

Although, Keyon left us far too soon he lived a beautiful fulfilling life, he adored his mother and her cooking! In his eyes, his sisters could do no wrong. Keyon was loved hard by his family, that his something he knew to be true.

A funeral service will be on Friday, October 24 at 11:00 AM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt lake City.
