Le Cong Tran
December 10, 1952 - January 23, 2024
Le Cong Tran, a beloved husband, brother, and father, peacefully entered eternal rest on January 23rd, 2024 at the age of 71. Surrounded by the love and prayers of family and friends, he embraced the grace of God and departed this world.
Born on December 10th, 1952 in Cai Be, Tien Giang, Vietnam, Le Cong Tran was a devoted member of the Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He joined the army and fought for the Republic of Vietnam as a sergeant specializing in transportation during the Vietnam War. He escaped communist Vietnam after the war, immigrated to the United States, and rebuilt his life.
A dedicated and dependable worker, Le Cong Tran spent nearly, half a century at Becton Dickinson and Company, first as a machine operator, and later as an automation maintenance line mechanic, earning the trust and respect of the people around him.
Le Cong Tran is survived by his beloved wife Nho Thi Nguyen, his son Lee Nguyen Tran, daughters Lisa Nguyen Tran and Linda Nguyen Tran, and grandchildren Maylene Tran, Makaylee Tran, Abigail Johnston, and Mindee Tran, and by his sisters Trần Bích Liên, Trần Ngọc Dung, Trần Ngọc Mai, and Trần Thị Bích Vân, all of whom will cherish the memories of his love and devotion to the family.
A prayer session will be held at 5:00 pm on Monday, January 29th, followed by a visitation session from 6:00-8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor located 3651 S. 900 E, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use parking and entrance located on the north side of the building.
A Requiem Mass will be held at 9:30 am Tuesday, January 30th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help the Catholic Church to celebrate Le Cong Tran's life and offer prayers for the repose of his soul. Following the mass, he will be interned at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
May the angels lead him into heaven and may his soul rest in the eternal peace of God's loving embrace.
