Scott Van Vleet beloved husband, son, brother, and friend passed away suddenly on January 12th, 2009. He was born on September 3rd, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Sandra Larson Van Vleet and Leland L. Van Vleet. He was married to Rosalind Beckstead. He loved his wife and family deeply. Scott graduated from Kearns High School. He attended the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College. He was employed for many years in estimating and sales at structural steel companies. Scott enjoyed skiing, music, sports, and his 1982 Corvette. He had a very green thumb. His home was filled with lush and lovely potted plants. He is survived by his wife; parents; sister Karen (Ron) Whipp; nephews Chris, David, and Jason; and families. We'll miss you Scott and will always love you. Say hello to Grandma Jennie and her dog Ring. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, January 16th from 6 to 8 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 17th at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City.
