Leone was born June 10, 1929 to Orson Lewis and Evaline Moesser in Salt Lake City.
Married Don Sorensen Sr. on July 3rd, 1953 and “that’s when the fireworks really started” (not the 4th). She graduated from South High and the U of U. She was a wonderful mother and the boss of the family. She loved reading and her blossoming yard. Her Brownie (Chihuahua) and Missy (tabby cat) will miss her. Leone loved the holidays and collected bells and angels. She lived her life fully without ever giving up.
She is survived by her husband; sister Gwen (Jim) Barber; children Don, Julie, Heather, Cindy; grandchildren Chris (Pam) Maynes, Patrick Maynes, Gina (Jermaine) Grubbs, Josh Robertson, Shelly Sorensen, Don Sorensen III; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
Preceded in death by her son Nole; brother Joe Lewis; sister Betty Carroll.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th at 11:00 AM at Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 “N” Street under the direction of Starks Funeral Parlor.
