Linda Marie Popish

August 1, 1948 - February 26, 2026

Linda Marie Popish passed away peacefully at her home in Sandy, Utah, on the evening of February 26 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mitch and Marie Sawaya, and her brother, Robert Sawaya.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert John Popish; her children Robert (Kim), Michelle, and Karen (Jay); eight grandchildren—Alyssa, Haley, Mitchell, Reston, Parker, Ava, Emma, and Olivia; great‑grandchildren Adalynn and Owen; and her siblings Janette, Janine (Claus), and Alan. Her family was the center of her life; she remained deeply involved in their lives and loved them dearly.

A decades‑long parishioner at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Sandy, Linda served in many roles over the years. She was known for stepping in wherever help was needed and for her steady, dependable presence within the parish community. She also took great pride and further displayed her work ethic as a young woman in the family restaurant, The Zesto in Provo, UT and later working as a receptionist and as a Stylist in her home beauty shop where she maintained some lifelong clients up through this past year.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held Friday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9757 S 1700 E, Sandy, Utah.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m., with a social gathering beginning at 10:30 a.m., also at Blessed Sacrament.  A luncheon will immediately follow Mass in the parish hall, where friends and family may share stories and memories.
