Lisa Butters Lee
February 21, 1971 - January 30, 2026
Lisa Butters Lee passed away suddenly and far too soon, leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. To know Lisa was to love her instantly—she was warm, magnetic, and impossible not to adore.
As the natural matriarch of our family Lisa held everyone together with unwavering dedication. She orchestrated birthday parties, cherished Christmas traditions, joyful 4th of July celebrations, and countless everyday moments that made our family feel whole. She worked tirelessly to nurture those bonds, always putting love and togetherness first.
Lisa was the life of every gathering, even if her bedtime came early (9 p.m. was pushing it!). Smart, funny, deeply caring, and endlessly kind, she radiated joy and positivity. She never met an animal she didn’t love. She was the picture of health—rising every morning to work out like clockwork, eating mindfully, and carrying an inner and outer beauty that turned heads and warmed hearts.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Bob, Son Briton, Daughter Kennady (Dimitri) her beloved grandchildren Stevie and Jax, her sister Becca (Keeylan/Mason) cousins Alexis (Johnny) and Lindsey (Zach),Trevor (Dixie) and Dustin, Stepfather Steve (Donna), Aunt Joan (Tom), Uncle Bradley, Cousins Alexandria (Terry), Jeni (Cesar), Kari (Sean).
Lisa was eagerly anticipating welcoming another grandchild into her loving arms and launching her exciting new tallow business. Lisa lived life fully, grabbing it by the horns. She and Bob built their dream together on their little slice of heaven, where she finally embraced the cowgirl life she always wanted. Bob was the man of her dreams, and their shared hard work created a beautiful, fulfilling world.
Her sudden passing came without warning while she was doing what she loved most—spending precious time with her husband and granddaughter. There was no accident, no self-harm, no substances involved; tragedy struck unexpectedly, and despite every effort, she could not be revived. The doctors are uncertain of the exact cause, but the loss feels cruel and unjust—she had so much more life to live, so many dreams unfolding.
It feels like a hazy, terrible dream that hasn’t fully sunk in yet.
The pain is immense for Bob, Kennady (KC), Stevie, Jax, and everyone else she held dear. Lisa’s wild laugh, radiant smile, and boundless energy will be missed every single day.
We share this with heavy hearts because so many people loved Lisa and will want to know she is no longer with us. We hate that we won’t make more memories with Lisa but we take comfort knowing she is reunited with her parents Blaine and Katherine, Uncle Randy Aunt Janet, Aunt Kristine and Uncle Jim, Grandma Shirley, and the many other family members who went before.
We know she is watching over us and urging us to live in a way that would make her proud. Lisa loved life fiercely. We love you forever and ever, Lisa Lee. We miss you more than words can say.
Please join us for a Celebration of Lisa’s life on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East Salt Lake City, UT 84106 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Guests are encouraged to park and enter on the north side of the building.
In Loving Memory
Lisa a was a light in this world, a shining star, an amazing wife, mother, aunt, sister and most important grandma. She will forever be missed by those of left behind to mourn this unbelievable loss. My heart bleeds for Bob and KC, the two people in this world most closest to Lisa. We love you both so much and hope we can carry on the traditions that Lisa did her best to hold on to. We miss ya Lisa, and will remember you always. Your smile, your laugh, your kindness (and foul mouth when appropriate)!! Truly one of the best. We love you always and forever Lisa Lisa.

Lisa was for sure the best friend to everyone she came in contact with. She was amazing at what she did in mortgages and she was a delight to be around ever single time I saw her. After we worked together at Cyprus CU, she would call or come see me for everything she and Bob needed. When we spoke, it always turned into a laughing, good, fun time. We had so much in common and we reminded each other by validating each others thoughts and ideas on certain subjects without fail. I just saw her not long ago and spoke to her on the phone even sooner than that. We promised to find time in our busy schedules and do lunch. I am sorry that didn’t happen. Tomorrow is not promised. Please talk/get together with your people often. I will miss her so much! Love forever. Fly high my friend. 💕

I've known Lisa since I was a kid. She was always someone that I looked up to. She was a shining example of top-tier work ethic and she never quit. She loved her kids and her family so much that you could feel it when she spoke about them. She will be missed dearly by all of us. Love and mercy.

I am beyond devastated to see this. I had the pleasure of working with Lisa. Lisa was beautiful inside and out. She was always willing to help me when I was in a pickle. She was so smart, kind and generous. She was such a hard worker and good friend. The office always got a bit brighter when she was in it. What a huge loss. May her memory be eternal. My thoughts go out to her family. Sending so much love.

Goodness! This hurt my heart when I found out about Lisa’s passing. I knew her from work and while I haven’t seen her in a few years I always thought she was the sweetest and a bright light. She made everyone feel like a friend. I remember we had talked about getting lunch together and sadly never did. It is a reminder that life is fragile and we should cherish and enjoy our days. She will be missed! Sending thoughts and prayers to her family. 💙

It pains us so very much to even have to write this as we still don’t believe it’s real. Our dear close friend, soul sister, bonus mom, Lisa Butters Lee is now an Angel in Heaven. The news had is in complete denial and shock. It hit us all like a Mac truck and we are so beyond devastated. Lisa we love you and will ALWAYS love you! We miss you so much and still cannot believe it. Such denial. Our heart hurts sooo very much for her daughter Kennady Black , husband Bob Lee , sweet grandchildren whom she loved SO MUCH! To the rest of her family as well. We see things that remind us of you, breaking down at any moment, and found a voicemail from 3 years ago that is bittersweet. The last thing you said was “I love you!” So we hold onto that. Fly high our dear friend, We know you are never far away 😇🪽💔❤️🩹💚❤️💕 Crystal and Alyssa Kellum “Lyssa Lou”

My deepest heartfelt condolences to Bob, all her family and to the myriads of friends Lisa has made. I saw someone wrote “to know Lisa was to know you were her friend”. That is so true! She had the knack of making everyone she met feel like they were her best friend. What an amazing person and great example she is. I will miss her positivity and beautiful smile. May you all feel a greater portion of God’s love as you mourn and try to adjust. The world is a better place because Lisa was in it!! Until we meet again my friend.

Lisa is an amazing person and always will be. Lisa had such an infectious smile and was great to work with. She made you feel like a true friend from first meeting. Even meeting for work, she made you feel like you were her dearest friend. I don’t think I ever saw Lisa without a smile on her face or hear a smile in her voice on the phone. Lisa is missed and always will be. My deepest condolences go out to her family.

Bob, you don't know me but I worked with Lisa at 3 different mortgage companies including our last stop at Newfi. When I changed companies, coincidentally I'd look at the list of AE's and there would be Lisa's name. She was my validation that I'd made a good choice. We talked often but now of course I wish we'd have chatted more. I wanted to let you know how sorry I am for you and your family's loss. Please know I'm praying for each of you as well as Lisa. God Bless.
