Lisa Kay Rosa

August 30, 1955 - January 6, 2013

Lisa Kay Rosa
Gotcha

Our loving wife and mother passed away on January 6, 2013.

Lisa was born to Leo and Lois (Olsen) Dolder on August 30, 1955 in Pocatello, ID. Her mother died when she was only eight years old, and she remained living in Arimo with her father until his death five years later. Lisa then stayed with her family's good friends, Con and Persis Thomas, while she finished her sophomore year.

Lisa finished her last two years of high school living with her brother Douglas and his former wife Darlene. After high school, Lisa attended Ricks College and the Utah State University. She graduated with her degree from State University of New York at Buffalo.

Lisa worked for years in the health insurance industry while she raised her daughter, Krista, from a previous marriage. She was best friends with her daughter, who will desperately miss her mother's companionship. 143.

Lisa married Richard Rosa on October 8, 2005 at St. Ann Catholic Church. She surprised him at the wedding with the inscription "Gotcha" inside his wedding band. They enjoyed a happy life together. She was Rich's sous chef and they spent many hours reading and preparing recipes. Lisa was proud of finishing the Top of Utah Marathon in Logan in 2004 with the help of her husband walking by her side and also their accomplishments with Race for the Cure. They traveled extensively and she was especially fond of their vacation to Paris in 2008. The couple was inseparable, even for haircuts and grocery store trips. Lisa was a girly-girl who loved shopping, purses, shoes and the color pink. She was sweet to everyone. She has enjoyed an assortment of dogs and cats throughout the years.

Her extended family was very important to her and she would plan many vacations to visit them and remain in touch frequently. In addition to her husband, Rich and daughter, Krista, Lisa is survived by her stepchildren Drew, Shae Thompson, Fallon (Jeffrey) Demet; grandchildren Jarron Thompson, Azriela and Ezekiel Demet; siblings Doug (Linda) Dolder and Diane (Skip) Turner; and many extended family members.

Friends are invited to honor Lisa by wearing your favorite shade of pink to her services. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 13th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 14th at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist, 11800 South 300 East, Draper, where friends may call upon the family an hour prior to the service.

Donations may be made in memory of Lisa to the Huntsman Cancer Institute at www.huntsmancancer.org
