Lois had 27 great grandchildren.

Our mom enjoyed life to the fullest. She was always able to laugh no matter how difficult things would get for her. She would often get out her accordion in the early evenings and us kid's would gather around her while she played. Mom absolutely loved music and we heard it almost daily while growing up.

Our mom enjoyed so many things in life from entertaining, decorating, reading, and cooking to name a few. She loved to dance the Polka, Belly Dance, Square Dance, Big Band Music and  took Zumba in her 80's. She was a great swimmer and swam out to the Breakers in Lake Michigan.

Mom enjoyed reading books, dining out, traveling around the country as well as Europe. Mom was a classy dresser and she loved hats. Mom and Dick played Tennis and Golf a lot and were members of the country club in Pocatello and Coeur d' Alene.

Lois worked as a secretary for Cutler-Hammer in Milwaukee from the time when she was 16 until after her third child. Lois sold advertising for the Thrifty Nickel in Pocatello, and she helped start and worked for Quail Ridge Assisted Living in Pocatello.
She was the President and then the Vice President for the UP Oldtimer's in Pocatello. Mom and Dick would walk to daily mass in Idaho and they were also Eucharistic Ministers taking Communion to those that couldn't get to Mass.
She did volunteer work feeding the homeless and working for the Three C's.

The family would love to thank the staff at Legacy Memory Care and Applegate Hospice.

They were the most wonderful people and we were all amazed at the love, care and concern they had for our Mom. They went above and beyond anything and everything we could imagine.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December, 13, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1375 East Spring Ln, Holladay, UT.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Although I probably met Lois at Fr. Gerry's First Mass, I was too young to really remember much.  But I know she was well loved by her children and she was lucky enough to marry two Nimtz brothers!  May she rest in peace.  Prayers for the family.
