Lois McCormick Johnson Wallberg
Lois passed away suddenly with family at her bedside on the evening of March 9th, 2015. Lois was born on May 18th, 1932, the youngest of nine siblings, in Providence, Rhode Island to Laura McIntyre and Ronald McCormick.
Lois proudly worked as a clerk for the federal court system and retired after thirty years of service. Lois was the 2001 recipient of the Outstanding Service Award from the Federal Bar Association in recognition of an outstanding career of accomplishment and service in the Federal Courts. She loved to travel, see films and was an avid golf enthusiast until the day she passed. She led an active life to the very end, golfing, attending St. Ann's Parish, and participating in many activities at the senior center.
She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She was a kind, generous, and lovely woman and will be missed by all who knew her.
Lois is survived by her daughter Susan (Doug); grandchildren Richard, Matthew and Laura; as well as Dale, Joan and Bob Wallberg and their families. She is preceded in death by husbands Richard Johnson and Albert Wallberg; and her beloved siblings.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, March 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 13th at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 450 East 2100 South, Salt Lake City. Graveside committal service to follow at Midvale City Cemetery, 455 West 7500 South, Midvale.
Special thanks to the ICU care team at Salt Lake Regional Hospital for their kindness and compassion during her stay.

I knew Lois through her work at the court - she was the epitome of a professional and well respected and loved by all. She was so proud of her family, her daughter and those wonderful grandchildren. No one could have been more loved by their Gramma. She lived her life with grace and energy - a model to us all.

My heart goes out to your family. I am so sorry for your loss. What pain hurts worse than the pain of losing someone that you love? Ms. Lois was loved and she will be dearly missed. Again, I am so sorry. Though the pain you're feeling must seem unbearable, please remember that you are not alone. Psalms 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress." Pray to Him for strength. Weep to Him when there are no words. One of the poets of the Bible said at Psalms 56:8, "You keep track of my wandering. Do collect my tears in your skin bottle." You see, God understands your pain and He cares for you very much (1 Peter 5:7). And He will really help you get through this difficult time (Isaiah 41:10)

I would like to express my condolences to your family, it can be hard for friends and family to find the right words to express at difficult times like these. The Bible is a great source to look into and has helped me personally when My dad passed away. A comforting thought is at Revelation 21:3,4, where it states "...And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry be anymore the former things have past away". This scripture gives us hope for the future! You can also find comfort in Acts 24:15 - Death does not end it all. May Jehovah God bring you comfort and peace during this difficult time. (Ps.46:1, Ps.83:18)
