Loretta Emma (Nielson) Busch
November 18, 1954 - June 14, 2017
Our beloved Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt & Friend passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep at the young age of 62 on June 14, 2017. Loretta was born to Arvil Grant Nielson and Alice Bench Nielson on November 18, 1954 in Tooele, Utah on the Tooele Army Depot with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck and was saved by a Good Samaritan named Emma. She was a fighter from the day she entered into this world. Loretta was the 7th of 9 children and the fire cracker of the bunch, which is the type of attitude she passed down to her 3 beautiful children whom she adored and was so very proud of.
Loretta was a hard worker and had special hobbies, which were collecting many different things (pennies being above all) and antiques with stories behind each and every one. She also loved making her own little crafts by hand in her free time, cruising in her yellow Beetle Bug listening to music she loved, sporting in her red Comet and RX-7, doing yard work, and bathing in the sun all day long. You could always count on her to being open to having a snort of vodka or wine when offered. She also loved dancing, karaoke and the family lip sync parties where she was one of the top winners many times. There was never a dull or silent moment with Loretta in the room. Anyone who knew her knows she could carry on many long conversations but always guaranteed you some good laughs and everlasting memories. She had a huge heart, with a vibrant spirit and contagious smile. She was silly by nature and would give you her last penny or the shirt off her back because she was used to going without and always managed through the rough but independent life she lived.
Her joys later in life were being with her kids and grandkids and spending her days with her furbaby "Simba", taking silly pictures of him with stuffed animals, goofy glasses, outfits and taking him to the park. She also cherished the time she got to spend with her best friend, Carol. She carried an emptiness in her heart for many years missing her grandson Kyjia Jay , but had the best memories with him for the first 5 years of his life. Her wish would have been to see him at least one more time before she left this earth. Now she can watch over him and all of us forever. She will be deeply missed along with her jokes and her sense of humor. We will all cherish the long talks we had and personal memories we shared with her until we meet again.
Loretta is preceded in death by her first born daughter, Denise Nielson (Stillbirth); father Arvil; mother Alice; step-dad Wes Frederickson; sisters, Marge & Patricia; brothers, Frank, Phillip & Randy; and her grandson Winston (Fur baby). She is survived by her daughters, Tereasa (Johnny) Taylor, Jeannie (Micheal VanWyck) Streeter; son Jeremy "J-J" Busch; grandchildren, Latasha (Wyatt), Brooke (Alec), Shaylee, Kyjia Jay & "Rabbit"; sisters, Beverly Busch (John), Cindy Hancock, Brother Grant Nielson (Linda); and many cousins, nieces and nephews. "We love you Mom, Momma, Mommacita, Mommy, Grandma/Namma, 'Ooooohhh Loretta' more than anything and miss you so very much… You're now our guardian angel! Xoxoxoxoxo"
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 21st at 7:30 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, with a viewing that will begin at 6:00 PM.
In Loving Memory
My deepest sympathies to the family and friends. Death at any age is difficult. May you find comfort in the words found at 1 Corinthians 15:26. It says: And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing. And Hosea 13:14 says "From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them." A wonderful promise from Jehovah God who cannot lie.
