Lorilee Upwall Coverston
Our Beloved
Lorilee Upwall Coverston, loving wife, daughter, and sister, returned rejoicing to her Heavenly Father March 9, 2010.
Born November 24, 1971 in Salt Lake City, UT, Lori embodied qualities that made her a wonderful friend and loved one: she was kind, gentle, full of love, and she always appreciated the help her family and home caregivers gave her. Through her life she battled much pain and suffering, but she always smiled through her trials and looked forward to her good days.
Lori loved spending time with her family and friends, going to movies, and making jewelry. She had an affinity for angels (who surround her now), and she has always loved animals. She was a wonderful artist when she was younger and always missed being able to draw. She enjoyed playing the flute and being in plays in high school. After graduating from Cottonwood High School (1990) she enjoyed attending institute courses at the Salt Lake Community College Institute of Religion. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Travis Scott Coverston, for eternity in the Timpanogas, Utah Temple in 1997.
She leaves behind her mother, Laraine Sigrid Sims Upwall; father, Dag Upwall; brothers and their wives Paul (Jenni) Upwall, David (Pamela) Upvall, Matthew (Yupayong) Upwall, Steven (Alisha) Upwall; and her nephew and niece (Arik and Nissa).
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Royal William Sims and Thelma Jorgenson, as well as Roald Upwall, Edel Marion Edvartzen and Robert Reinertsen.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 15 at 11:00 AM at the River Ridge 8th Ward, 10168 South 1100 West, South Jordan, Utah, where friends may call upon the family one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City.

Our mothers are lifelong friends, and Lori and I grew up together, sharing many happy experiences. I remember nothing but kindness and gentleness from her at every moment. In recent years whenever our families met, without fail she was the first to ask how things were going in my life and she seemed to seek out every opportunity to wish my family and me well. She faced unusual difficulty in life with grace and hopeful resolve, always true to an abiding faith. She touched our souls with unique tenderness. I am happy imagining the good work she pursues now on the other side of this life, bringing sweet joy to many who have waited long for her return.

Dear Laraine and family, I was sorry to hear and to read of Lorilee's passing. I know you will greatly miss her. She had suffered so much in her young life and yet remained a sweet, loving girl. I am unable to attend the funeral services as I have a meeting scheduled for 11:30 in Salt Lake. Please know that I will be thinking of you. Your knowledge of the plan of salvation will be a comfort to you. Janice Betts Bennion
