Lyman Arthur Littlefield

February 26, 1942 - October 7, 2012

Lyman A. Littlefield

On October 7th, 2012, our husband, father, brother and best friend left this earth to watch over us from above.

Lyman Arthur Littlefield was born on February 26th, 1942 to Waldo L. and Afton S. Littlefield in Salt Lake City, Utah. On January 22nd, 1965 he married Margaret Halton, sharing 47 years of love, laughter and adventure.

Lyman co-owned and worked with his brothers at Littlefield Company, a company founded by their father in 1942. He was a devoted and loving father to his two sons and daughter-in-laws and was so proud of their accomplishments and success. His friendly nature, unique laughter and fun sense of humor will be missed by many.

He was an avid boater and fisherman, spending 30 plus years at Flaming Gorge and was a Charter Member of the Lake Flaming Gorge Yacht Club. He then traded the lake for the serenity and beauty of the red rocks of southern Utah, spending part of each year there. Lyman loved traveling (especially to Huntington Beach) and spent much of the last years experiencing new places.

He is survived by his wife Margaret; sons Jeffrey (Wonyee Tom), Ryan (Alison); brothers Paul (Kathleen), Mike (Jan); brothers and sisters in-laws, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 10th from 6 to 8 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 11th at noon at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lyman's name may be made to Hirsche Smiles Foundation, P.O. Box 1064, Orem, UT 84059-1064.

So, so sorry to hear about Lyman. I will never forget our fishing trips, especiallywhen we packed all of our stuff into your Ford Explorer and my Toyota and headed to Joan Lake. Those are some of my favorite photos. Lyman was always such a fun guy. He will be missed. I will not be able to attend the service as I just had a knee replaced a week ago. I will be thinking of you. Dear Meg, I am so sorry to hear about Lyman and having been through the loss of a spouse I know all too well what you are going through. Adrian has been gone for almost 15 years now. I saw on-line that Sid died awhile ago and only about a month ago Bob Maycock. My husband and I live in Moab and I just saw the on-line obituary today or I would have been there to see you. Again, I am so sorry. God bless you and your family and the same to Sid's family if you ever see them.
