Lynne Soehnlen
May 8, 1938 - August 2, 2026
Lynne Soehnlen, 87, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in her home, on August 2, 2026.
Lynne was born May 8, 1939 in Murray, Utah to Florence and Joseph Plott. She is the beloved wife of Bob Soehnlen and a devoted mother to her daughters, Wendi (Rebecca) Sorensen, Kimberlee Palotta, and Nena Cook. She is a proud Grammy to Karissa (Justin) Pierce, Reily (Rachel) Brown, Parker (Megan) Brown, Ella (Bridger) Gilgen, Stuart (Amy) Ames, and Simon Ames. She is also a loving Great-Grammy to Jaxon, Benjamin, Isaiah, Oslo, Freya, and Rune. Her greatest joy was her family, and she found happiness in every moment spent with them.
She also leaves behind their cat, Bella Rose, who was not only a cherished companion, but who watched over her in the final year of her life.
Lynne loved drinking coffee, always, but especially on the front porch of her and Bob’s beloved West Yellowstone home, scenic drives through the canyon with Bob, and listening as he read classic books to her. Much to Bob’s Green Bay Packers-loving chagrin, she was a diehard Chicago Bears fan. She loved opera, ornaments, orchids, crystals, heart stickers, purple gel pens, jumping in puddles with her grandkids, taking them on shopping sprees, and most of all, Thursday lunches with her family.
Lynne will be remembered for her caring heart, quiet strength, vivacious energy, and the love and attention she showered on everyone. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on through the family she loved so dearly and the memories they will cherish forever.
A Funeral Mass honoring Lynne’s life will be celebrated Saturday, August 8 at 9:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9757 South 1700 East, Sandy, UT.
Lynne will be cremated afterwards, in accordance with her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation in Lynne’s name to Uplift Community Alliance www.ulcautah.org
