Mackenzie Glade Hunter
July 13, 1987 - October 9, 2017
Spuds, Bubba, Handsome Boy, Mack Money, Mack-Attack, Mack Daddy, Mack THE DAD!
Born June 13, 1987 to Lea Moriarty (Husband, Dan Moriarty), and Jeff Hunter (Wife Kathleen Hunter) in Salt Lake City Utah.
Mack was an avid Utah Utes, Utah Jazz and Denver Broncos fan.
He loved his family more than anything. His mom Lea and his sister Nikole were his best friends.
His daughter Isa was his whole world, his pride and joy. Melissa was the absolute love of his life. He had a special bond with his Niece Khloe and his Nephews Jaden & Max. If the whole family was together and Mack was no where to be found, you just had to find the kids and there he would be laughing and goofing around with them!
Some of his favorite things to do were BBQ, swim and camp with his dad Jeff. Mack also loved the Denver Broncos along with his dad Dan and Brother Matthew, and always had such a great time when they would go hunting and fishing. His younger brothers, Jacob, Colton and Christian looked up to their big brother and he was their superhero! He Loved to spend as much time as he could with them.
He touched so many lives and helped so many others fight and conquer their issues with drug addiction. He hated the fact that he wasn't able to win his own battle with his addiction. He was a warrior that was always fighting. Battling his demons or fighting to improve himself. He was the kindest, most genuine, honest (brutally) person you will ever know and have the pleasure to know and love.
He was the type of man to always give you the shirt off his back. Mack Was absolutely hilarious and had a laugh that was so contagious that he would have the whole room laughing. You always knew when he would arrive! He knew how to make an entrance, he was never quiet about it! Mack was the most driven, hard working and motivated person and anyone who knows him would say the same. Mack was obsessed with THE BEST! He always dreamed of one day getting his "Range Rover", but still had so much pride in his "Mackillac" (Cadillac). He always had to look the best and be the best at everything. He was so stylish and so unbelievably handsome. He was a great athlete and competitor and was always in some sort of competition with his brothers or friends. And for being such a big guy, he was a little afraid of his "tiny" big sister… and scary movies and little dogs.
Mackenzie is survived by his Daughter Isa and girlfriend Melissa, parents Lea Moriarty and Husband Dan Moriarty, Jeff Hunter and Wife Kathleen Hunter. His siblings, Nikole and husband Tyler, Matthew and Wife Christie, Colton, Jacob, Christian, Michael, Jason, Jessica, Grandparents Linda Hunter, Karon Moriarty, Gerald and Virginia Williams; his childhood best friend and cousin Kenny Tanner and a long list of aunts, uncles and cousins who love him dearly.
A celebration of Mackenzie's life will be held on Wednesday, October 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building. Burial and the Catholic Rite of Committal will take place Thursday, October 19 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City, Utah at 10:00 am.
