Dear Pat and family, I was so very saddened to learn of Manny's passing. He had such a good sense of humor and was a forever faithful supporter to "his teams" regardless of their losses. It takes a special person to find humor in wearing a handicapped t-shirt, he just brightened my day to see him come into the dialysis unit. We'll miss his kindness and gentle manner. Our sincerest wishes go out to your family at this time. My best wishes, Janet Mueller

Dearest Vigil Family, I have so many fond memories of the wonderful time spent with my "Mexican family". The fun trips to Lagoon, locking or hiding our cooler, BBQing at Lagoon and at all of your homes. Times spent just talking to each other. All of you are so special to me and my family. Manuel will be missed so much. My kids still call Pat and Manuel "Grandma Pat and Grandpa Manuel. Stesha was talking about your family last night, and when she was little she thought that they were really her Grandparents. I just wanted you to know how much I loved being accepted as your family, all of you just opened your arms and your hearts and made all of us feel welcomed where ever we were. I will miss Manuel's laugh, smile, words of wisdom, silliness, quiet observation, and non-judgemental love. I have always been a bit jealous of your tight knit family, I hope that I have instilled this gift to my little family. Last night was so touching, what wonderful people you are, I learned things that I never knew about Manuel. He was a wonderful man. If any of you need anything at all, please call me, Ana, and Angie have my number. We love all of you so much. We are all so sorry for your lost, but we know that Manuel is in a better place now, and his pain has ended. Love- Steph and Family
