Marca Yvonne Bolton
June 25, 1951 - May 8, 2014
After a courageous battle with cancer, our sweet wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend, Yvonne, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Vonnie was born on June 25, 1951 in Casper, Wyoming, to Rex T. and Marca Lynn Porter. She married Merritt G. Bolton on March 11, 1972. Together, they raised their three children, Jamie, Teresa, and Paul in Roosevelt and Murray, Utah.
Vonnie was loved by everyone who knew her. She was easy to talk to, genuine, funny and compassionate. She loved her family! Her grandchildren meant the world to her, and she took every opportunity she could to spend time with them. She was the seventh of eight brothers and sisters, Doris(Max), Orson(Anna), Shirley(Max), Myron(Joan), Darlene, Gary(Peggy), and Julie(Mike). Growing up, she enjoyed school, spending time with her friends, and playing volleyball and softball. She graduated in 1969 from Natrona County High School in Casper. She was a wonderful wife and the best mom ever! Always involved in her children's lives, she devoted time to the PTA and was always the first to volunteer at school activities. She was an awesome cook and baked the tastiest treats! Chocolate chip cookies, pumpkin and cherry pies, chocolate sheet cakes, and cinnamon rolls were some of the favorites! She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and served in many capacities. She especially enjoyed her teaching positions in the Primary and Young Women's, and was an inspiration and great example to the young people she taught. Her willingness to serve others extended beyond her positions in the church. Being very service-oriented, she spent countless hours sewing, cooking, and volunteering in ways that benefitted those in need. Her greatest joy was spending time with little children, especially her twelve grandkids, Tanner, Benson, Tyler, Christian, Lilly, Annie, Sev, Zach, Rachel, Emily, Sam, and Sawyer, and one great-grandchild, Beren. She had a gift for making each one feel as though they were the most special in her life. Many days were spent shopping at the mall, going to movies, and playing at the park. Birthdays, holidays, and sleep-overs were always special times! She will be remembered with great love and will live on in the hearts of all whose lives she touched. We love you so much, beautiful momma!
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 12 noon at the Murray West Stake Center. 5750 S. Nena Way, Murray, Utah. A viewing will be held at the same location from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Interment will be held at Elysian Gardens immediately following the service. 1075 E. 4580 S., SLC, Utah.
In Loving Memory
Was a honor to work with Yvonne. She was a very special co-worker, truely delicate to her work. Loved taking about her children and grandchildren. Will miss our talks, but know she is in the hands of our heavenly father.

Dear Bolton family...My deepest condolences to you all. I am sorry to hear of Yvonne's passing. I remember her from when I was PTA President here in Roosevelt and she was on my PTA Board. She was always such a kind, helpful and dedicated person who could always be counted on to step forward and devote her efforts for children. I have been honored to have known her and worked with her. I especially remember her compassion for children. God bless you all.
