Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Marcella Genevieve Romero passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 82 on Friday, December 2, 2011.  Marcella was born on July 14, 1929, in Bingham Canyon to Clyde and Ida Oliver.  She married her true love, Tito R. Romero, on January 15, 1952, and they were happily married for 59 years until his passing earlier this year.

Marcella’s greatest passion was her family.  She was a wonderful homemaker and caretaker for her children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed spending time surrounded by family, crocheting beautiful blankets for those she loved, being pampered at the salon, traveling to Wendover, relaxing at Bear Lake, supporting the interests of her grandchildren and following her favorite television programs.  Marcella generously welcomed everyone into her home and fiercely defended the people she loved.  We will all miss her warm smile, strong will and the wonderful smells of home cooking that came from her kitchen.

Survived by her children, Barbara (Steve), Joann (John), Mary, Rosella (Tony) and Stephanie; sister, Geraldine (Juel); as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; brother Raymond; grandchild Morgan Kynaston; son Clyde Kynaston and husband Tito.

A wake will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2011, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, Utah.  Graveside Services will be held at Valley View Cemetery, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at 11:00 AM.
