Marcos Valero
August 25, 1988 - July 9, 2020
Our dear, sweet Marcos unexpectedly became our guardian angel on July 9th, 2020. He was born to Maria Angelina Mendoza and Carlos Valero on August 25th, 1988, in San Diego California.
Marcos and his family moved to Salt Lake City in August of 1996, where he would soon meet his Jr. High Sweetheart Heather at Eisenhower Jr. High in West Valley City. They were married October 22nd, 2008 in Salt lake City. They then spent the next 21 years building a life together that they both cherished until the very last moment of his life. They had two beautiful children together Elycia (2008) and Kingston (2014) who he loved and adored endlessly. Marcos loved sports, cooking and fast cars. He loved to spend hours in the kitchen cooking with his daughter and trying new recipes they made up together. He loved watching football and playing Hot Wheels with his son. He was a devoted Raiders and Lakers fan (yes, even Lebron). He worked for UPS for 13 years while continuously working a second full-time job that varied throughout the years.
Marcos is survived by his Wife Heather; their two children, Elycia and Kingston; and the family pitbull Lizzy. His Mom Maria and sisters; Karla (Jesus), Susan (Anthony), and Dianna; along with 13 nieces and nephews who adored him dearly and called him Tio Oso. Marcos also leaves behind many friends & family that will miss him dearly.
A viewing for Marcos will be on Wednesday, July 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East. Please call the parlor to make a reservation between the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Guests are encouraged to use the parking on the north side of the building. A funeral service will be on Thursday, July 16 at 11:00 AM at Starks Funeral Parlor. The family would love for his fellow Lakers and Raiders fans to wear their team proudly to his services.
In Loving Memory
Heather and family, words cannot express what I would like to convey. The loss you have suffered is beyond words. My thoughts and prayers will be with your family.

Heather my sweet baby girl, I love you so much love. I can only imagine the empty broken heartedness you are feeling. I know how much you both loved one another. Them beautiful children you have that you both cherish ❤️ this very day. He will now live you from a distance but no longer fighting his battle. He is free of everything and except loving all of you. He will be there with you and your children always. He has no anger, just love baby girl. I know your heart hurts . I'm always forever here. Please don't ever forget. I've prayed and I've asked Marcos if he'd please pop in on me once in a while so I can feel him and see his sweet grin and that sparkle in his eye. So I can remember always what it felt like when he would say mom, and give me a big hug. IOh man, I'm so gonna miss it! Rest in peace my sweet Brown Boy! This momma loves you so so much!
