Margie Ann Pettit Brock

June 30, 1948 - June 30, 2023

Our beloved Princess Margie Ann Pettit-Brock went home, on June 30, 2023, to be with the Lord on her birthday. She will be missed by all of us, and was taken from us too soon. She was a caretaker for elderly and disabled people for over 20 years. She graduated from the Utah State University with a Bachelors of Science degree. She was a single mother for many years and raised several of her children in her home in Sandy City, Utah. She was an avid church goer, who adored the Greek Orthodox Church. Most of all, she had a deep love for her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Margie was an adventurer who went on many world travels. She went on missions to spread the word of God, and handed out over 300 Bibles.

She was preceded in death by her parents Newel and Beth Pettit of Murray, Utah, her son Roger Williams and her daughter Heidi Ruth McCartney. She is survived by her husband, Dr. David Brock, six daughters, Wendy Garner (Greg) of St. George, Utah, Lisa Hanson (Dave) of Mammoth, Utah, Becky Bonner (Wes) of Tooele, Utah, Jacqueline Taylor of Littleton, Colorado, Deborah Green of Brighton, Colorado and Cherish Finnegan of Cedar City, Utah, two sons, Todd Williams (Aundrea) of South Jordan, Utah and Shane Williams of Tooele, Utah, 11 siblings, 23 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

We appreciate all of the loving support from friends, neighbors and all who have shown love towards Margie and her family through the years and at this time.

Margie will be laid to rest at the Lehi City Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks Funeral Parlor. Please visit www.Starksfuneral.com to share photos and memories with Margie’s family.

In Loving Memory

My sincere condolences to all of you for the loss of your mom, grandmother,  aunt, cousin, sibling, and wife, and anyone else who was part of her life. She was a remarkable woman! I pray the peace of God will find you to bring you comfort and strength through this difficult season. Sincerely, Eileen Buchanan,  a neighbor and friend of Jackie's.

Margie (Mary)was a great inspiration to me as a sinner seeking to grow and live a Christ like life. Regardless of whatever her pain and sorrows were, she always knew the Church was the  hospital to help heal her soul.  At times she would struggle to physically and mentally get out of bed. Through God's grace, He gave her the strength to attend a weekday Divine Liturgy, a Paraklesis or just get a blessing from the priest to help create peace in her soul.  She participated in Bible studies. Retreats or attend social functions for fellowship.   She truly loved Christ! I vividly remember the most beautiful letter she wrote to me asking for forgiveness and to pray for her. May she rest in the God's kingdom where there is no pain, sorrow or suffering but everlasting life! Christ reminds us to "Rejoice" in times of sorrow! Memory Eternal Maria!

My condolences to the family. When losing a loved one it can be unbearable. In the Bible book of Isaiah 25:8 Jehovah God promises soon to "swallow up death forever." He also promises to bring back those who have fallen asleep in death (Acts 24:15). In a little while longer this kind of pain will be a thing of the past (Revelations 21:4). May these scriptures bring you comfort in this difficult time (jw.org)

Your Relationship, nan

Margie was one of my mom's favorites. I think they met at one of Father Mathew's Bible study classes. I hope they are once again enjoying each other's company. May her memory be eternal.
