Marie Ann 'Gran' Gibbs

January 15, 1939 - August 30, 2024

Marie Ann “Gran” Gibbs passed away peacefully in her home with family by her side on August 30, 2024. Marie Ann was born on January 15, 1939 in Heber, Utah to Parke and  Verna Johnson Evans. After moving to Salt Lake City she met the love of her life,  Jimmy T. Gibbs marrying him on February 23,1960. She enjoyed ironing, cleaning, and crocheting, but nothing brought her more happiness than the time she spent with her husband. With her elegant presence and calming demeanor words were never needed as her love was always felt. She was a pillar of love and sweetness to our lives and will be cherished forever. Gran will always be known in our hearts as a loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and a hero to many.

Survived by her ever loving husband of 64 years Jimmy T. Gibbs. Two daughters Kim (Leon) Priet and Lisa Gerth. Seven grandchildren Leon (Jessica), Matt, Rulon (Amy); Bosché (Joan), Brooke, Borgny, Betsy (Arian), many great-grandchildren and her sister Paula (Dean) Bowers. Dear Family, I didn't know Marie Ann, but I do know that she must be an amazing woman to have raised a lovely daughter.  Kim definitely takes after her mother in her beauty!  Kim was very devoted to her mother making certain that she had loving care.  God bless you all during this very difficult time.
