Marie Therese McLean was born to John J. Considine Sr. and Abigail Baker Considine on October 11, 1926. She graduated from Mother Cabrini Hospital Nursing School in Chicago, Illinois in 1948. She loved patient care as the best part of nursing. Her nursing took her from Illinois to Michigan to the Florida Army. She served as a Civilian Nurse for the army at Water Reed Army Medical Center.
Mom loved her nursing, but after she retired from it, she went back to school and got her sales and marketing degree. She also loved swinging a golf club and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her children Abigail and Michael; grandson Kevin. Preceded in death by brothers John J. Considine Jr, and Michael W. Considine; and her parents.
A vigil will be held at Saint John the Baptist Church, 300 East 11800 South, on Monday November 28 at 7pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated the following day on November 29 at 9am.
Many thanks to the staff at St. Mark’s ICU 2nd South Hospital, and to the nurses Jill, Melissa, Mike, Angie, and Nancy. Also a special thanks to Lone Peak Emergency Center.
