Marijane Daines J Lambert

September 13, 1948 - May 29, 2022

Marijane Lambert passed away suddenly on May 29, 2022. She was born on September 13, 1948 and raised on a farm in Beaver Dam, Utah by her parents, Benjamin Francis and Jennie Marie Daines Johnson. Jane will be forever known for her sweet kindness, open heart, inclusion, tolerance, patience, creativity and compassion. She was a great blessing to all she touched and many who knew her considered her the nicest person they ever met. She impacted many profoundly with her giving ways.

Jane attended Bear River High School and graduated from Utah State in 1970 in Elementary Education. She married her husband, Glen Lambert, in 1973 and they loved each other for almost 50 years of marriage. They enjoyed many great adventures and experiences. Utmost were 2 wonderful children, Michael and Melissa and 4 grandchildren. Jane was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Jane worked as a librarian in Augusta, Ga., San Francisco, Ogden, and at Snow, Christensen & Martineau in Salt Lake for many years. She had many professional accomplishments and served many in church and other organizations. She loved flowers, art and writing thank you notes. We are so grateful to her.

She is survived by her loving husband Glen, her children: Michael (Analiesa), Melissa (Christian); 4 grandchildren: Jameson, Carter, Cedar Jane & Lucia; sister Anna Belle Neuberger and brother Ben Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Susan Worley.

A celebration of Jane’s life and viewing will be on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor. A funeral service will be on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 12:00pm, with a visitation one hour prior to service at the Cottonwood 10th Ward, 4930 South Westmoor Road, Holladay.

In Loving Memory

I am so sorry for your loss and all of our loss. We were so looking forward to getting together on the 8th for lunch. Of course she sent me a beautiful birthday card couple of weeks ago with a drawing of an ice cream cone and the details or our get together with Kathy.  She was such a wonderful and sweet person. I remember one day at work when a band was playing outside. There use to be a dancing man that came out everyday at lunch to dance and he was really enjoying the live music. Most people tried to avoid him or any eye contact but Marijane went out and danced with him.  I'm again so sorry and we will all miss her wonderful sweetness and thoughtfulness and smile. But she was also a very wise and interesting person. I will always remember our years of working together with joy. Margaret Cahoon

I remember Marijane for her sweet and caring personality!  She used to attend my Relief Society cooking classes, and after each class I would receive a thank-you note from her in the mail, telling me how much she enjoyed the class. Sometimes she would send me thank-you notes for simple little kindnesses. She always made me feel so appreciated!! I have actually saved some of her little notes as a reminder to me of the importance of acknowledging acts of service and friendship. Love ❤️ you, Marijane!!

I am so sorry for the passing of this great lady.  I really never knew her well; which is my loss; because the distance I have lived from your family.  I remember her at Johansen Family Reunions.  Due to time commitments, cost we cannot attend the funeral but would love to attend remotely if we can get a zoom meeting put together.  I know that this  is a great blow to your family and we will be praying for your peace and comfort.

Dear Glen, Michael and Melissa, I truly mourn with you and your young families over the loss of your beautiful wife, mother and grandmother. Aunt Marijane will always hold a very special place in my heart. I have so many fond memories of her over the years and I will cherish them for as long as I live. I loved how she called us all by our full first given names. That always meant a lot to me. And I was always so amazed when she remembered my birthday every single year with a card or a gift or both. She was truly in a class all her own and I will miss being able to spend time with her. She always knew how to make everyone feel special and loved. You are a wonderful family and I love you all dearly. My prayers are with you all in the coming weeks, months and even years and, especially with you, Glen, as you navigate through the rest of this mortal life without your dear, sweet Jane.
