Marlin J. Plamondon

On the night of Thursday, January 12, 2012 Marlin Plamondon passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family.

Marlin was born to Joseph and Dorothy Plamondon on August 11th, 1941, in Leelanau County, Michigan, where he spent most of his life.  He grew up in a family of ten children where he was the oldest sibling.  He moved to Pinedale, Wyoming with his wife, Gloria, in 1992 and eventually to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2005 in order to be closer to their daughter and newest born grandchild.

Gloria and Marlin met in 1963 and were married on October 17th 1964 and celebrated their 47th anniversary this past fall.  They shared a wonderful life together and raised four children.

Marlin loved his family and the great outdoors.  He enjoyed taking his children hunting, fishing, and also instructing them in music.   He was a well-respected wood worker and musician.   He is best known and will be remembered as a fun loving individual who liked to laugh and tell jokes.  He was also a great listener and friend.

Marlin is survived by his wife and soul mate Gloria Plamondon; his sons Daryl (Jennifer), Christopher (Wendy); his daughter Jessica  (Nicholas) Kenworthy; his siblings Mona (Jim) Rice, Ken (Paula), Ernest, Cathy (John) Skeba, Gregory (Sharon), Steve (Mary), Todd (Denise); and his grandchildren Tyler, Kile, Macey, Tyler Anys, Hilary, Shelby, Alexis Anys, Isaac, Adam and Olivia. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy Plamondon; brother Robert E.; sister Rebecca S. Miller; daughter Kimberly; and son Brian.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church in Lake Leelanau, Michigan, with a visitation for family beginning at 9:00 AM and visitation for friends at 9:30 AM.   Family and friends are invited to join us in remembering and celebrating Marlin’s life at a luncheon following services.

We were so surprised to hear about Marlin in the Pinedale Roundup. So sorry you lost such a good man in your lives. We still think of you as one of our favorite Pinedale families, having had the pleasure of being your neighbors. Love to all, Arlinda and Ken McLaughlin and family

We were stunned and then deeply saddened when we read of Marlin's death in the local paper. We first came to know Marlin when he was building our log home over 20 years ago. His reputation for working with wood, especially cabinetry, was legendary even then. In later years, when we converted a garage into a nursery suite for grandkids, and later made dramatic changes in the den, and then for many other projects, he was our go-to guy. For the last few years, when walking by, or using, some of his handiwork, we often wondered how he was doing. He knew how much we counted on him, and how highly we regarded him, that he specifically sought us out when for one of the happiest of reasons, a grandchild, he and Gloria decided to move to Salt Lake City. He probably expected that we would find that no one since he left has equalled his skills; he was right about that! We also vividly remember his sense of humor; sadly, we never got to hear his music. The memories his family have, undoubtedly infinitely more extensive than ours, should provide some solace--he lived a good and full life, and he enjoyed it. Our sincere wishes go out to his entire family--may the good memories triumph over the sadness as soon as possible.

everyone's comfort is dinfereft you may have bought too firm a mattress for your liking plush doesn't negate firm try getting a down mattress pad otherwise, I am not sure what to tell you it will likely take a year or so to "break-in" if it is a good bed you may also get used to it might even be better for your back once you learn how to sleep comfortably on it
