Martin J. Martinez
August 2, 1949 - September 27, 2017
Marty was born in Price, Utah on August 2, 1949 and passed away on September 27, 2017. A special son, brother, uncle, father, friend; Marty was a medic in Vietnam, burn tech at the University of Utah Hospital and a respiratory therapist.
Marty enjoyed his "birthday." He cherished time with his family.
Marty was preceded in death by his parents Jimmie Martinez and Aurelia Aguilar and is survived by his siblings; Teresa, Linda, Cleo, and James. Marty's son and his family, Brandon Bourdeaux Martinez and Allison and granddaughter Avery, that made Marty a complete man.
And I think to myself "What a wonderful world."
A Celebration of Marty's life will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building.
In Loving Memory
My prayers and thoughts are with the family! I truly have some fond memories of Marty and know how much he will be missed by all. May God comfort you in your loss.

I'm saddened to hear of Marty's passing. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. We shared many good times "way back when". I am unable to attend the gathering for Marty but wanted his family and friends to know that I share in your grief and loss. To Bimbo, Mike, Jimmy, Christie, Margie: (hope I spelled the names right as it's been a l-o-n-g time) Take Care. The people we love and care about (even from years ago) are forever in our hearts.
