Mary Agnes Lopez Kallas

January 22, 1939 - December 12, 2021

Heaven gained another angel on Sunday. She left to go be with Papou. She was surrounded by family at home, just exactly where she wanted to be. We held her hand, played her music and talked to her until her last breath. She was so special to all those who knew her. She passed at the age of 82 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born in Colorado to Edmond and Josie. She was one of eight children.  She met her husband after moving to Salt Lake City.  She always worked hard and did anything she could for her family. She dedicated her life to making sure her kids were always the number one priority. She loved to bowl, gamble, crochet and cook. She would always crochet blankets and give them as gitfts to her loved ones. Everyone always looked forward to her cooking. She was baptized Catholic but converted to Greek Orthodox when she married Steve. They had three children, 9 grand children  and 10 great grandchildren.

She went to meet her husband Steve, her children Stephanie and Vincent, her siblings Jauna, Catherine, Vicente and Ned and her mother and father in heaven. She leaves behind her children Steve and Trichia (Troy). Her grandkids Nathaniel, Gaby (Roger), Sophia (Mike), Josie (Zach), D’cody, Yazee, Joseph, Tiara and Serena beloved nephew Jr and great niece Justice and her Great Grandkids Roger, Jason, Inez, Taylor, Nevaeh, Chanel, Dominique, Bentley, Blakley and Osiris. Her siblings Rudy, Trini and Laura. And many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Mary will be on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. A Trisagion service will begin at 5:15 pm prior to the celebration. She will be laid to rest on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City.
