Mary Brooke Lachance

January 9, 1986 - February 20, 2015

This world was blessed with Mary Brooke Lachance on January 9th 1986. Heaven received their perfect angel back on February 20th 2015 after her courageous battle with cancer. Brooke redefined the word strength not only through her final battle but also throughout her life. 

 

Robert and Leslie Lachance were the fortunate pair that created her and were able to raise her into the beautiful person that she became. Brooke was the youngest of five siblings, each who sincerely adored her. Brooke grew up in West Jordan and from a young age Brooke marched to the beat of her own drum. Growing up, Brooke loved being around her family. Brooke truly was the light of the Lachance family. Through Brookes influence, she was able to bring her family closer together and showed genuine compassion and care to everyone that she crossed paths with.

 

Brooke started attending Paul Mitchell The School in October 2010 and later graduated in July 2012. Brooke was also employed at Whole Foods for the past ten years. She was most recently employed there as a payroll benefits specialist.

 

Brooke married Dustin Davis on August 21st 2010. Brooke and Dustin later divorced, however remained very close friends until the end. 

 

Brooke became engaged to Joe Mandl in July of 2014. She was so excited to begin their journey together and they were to be married October of this year. Joe was so great to Brooke and loved her unconditionally. As Brooke became ill, Joe stayed right by her side and stayed there supporting her throughout her difficult journey. Brooke was truly blessed to have Joe in her life.

 

Brooke was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside and will be missed by all who knew her. If Brooke were to sum up her life she would say: #prettymuchnailedit.

 

Brooke is survived by her loving fiancée Joe Mandl, her loving parents Robert and Leslie LaChance, her siblings Troy(Debbie), Chris(Eleni), Lisa and Lindsay Lachance. Grandparents Doug and Mary Erickson, 8 nieces and nephews and many, many special lifelong friends. 

 

A celebration of life will be held at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, on Friday, February 27th from 6 to 8 PM. Complimentary valet parking will be provided on the north side of the building. 

 

 

In Loving Memory

I feel so blessed to have been included in Brooks life. I met Brooke through my daughter, Becca Corey. I watched a true friendship form a bond, it was so special. Brooke's light burns so bright....I will see it always. May you find peace and comfort at this difficult time.

I had the privilege to work with Brooke for a few years at Whole Foods. She was pretty shy when we first met but I watched her grow in confidence to the point where she began choosing her path. She has an amazing spirit. To her family, there are many out there you don't even know but were touched by Brooke. Find strength in that while you mourn your daughter, sister, aunt.
