Mary Jane Augustine Jr.

October 24, 1966 - November 19, 2025

Died at the ripe old age of 59.

I was born in Ogden Utah to the most loving parents anyone could ask for. Cody Jesse Augustine of Nebraska and Mary Jane (Trickett) Augustine of Missouri. Both died way too young. I was the youngest of 7 and I loved it! However I always wanted a younger sibling which I was fortunate enough to become an Aunt at the age of 5 to my niece Patriena who I felt was my little sister 🥰 I loved growing up in Ogden everyone knew the Augustine’s especially at St James Parish. We moved to West Valley when I was 9. Went to Rolling Meadows, Valley Jr High- like fer sure!, and Granger High

I got married as a teen and had my 3 children Bethy, Cody and Dezi by the age of 21 . I wanted several more but it wasn’t Gods plan. My children are my life I love dearly. I was a softball and cheerleading coach for my girls which was so much fun! And was Cody’s biggest fan while he played baseball and football. It was tough making it to all 3 kids practices and games on my own but I did it!

I tried 2 more times to “complete” our family by marriage then realized we were already complete💕

God then blessed me with 3 absolutely true joys! My grandchildren Saydee Jane,  Zaxton Bradley  and Deklen Patrick Park 😍 I was fortunate to have a schedule where I could watch them 1 day a week. We have been so close and I thank  Bethy and Bradley for letting me be such a big and involved part of their lives.

I retired from the natural gas company known as Mountain Fuel when I was hired and Dominion energy when I retired after 30 years. My goal was to retire by 55 and my last day of work was 10-24-21!

My advice to everyone is not to wait til next year to take the trip or even go for walks or clean out the office ( the kids get it lol ) do it now. Cancer hit me fast and hard. Liver, lung, breast and bone. Not a fun way to go. So now you know. When you leave work really leave work. Don’t take it home.

I want to thank my daughters – Bethy and Dezi for taking care of me 24/7 two of the strongest young ladies and I mean strong 💪 they had to lift me constantly and mentally strong. Thank you for lifting my spirits, praying with me and reminding me how important and blessed life is 💕

Thank you my son in law Brad for the countless things you did especially opening up your home and constructing it to be Grammy friendly upstairs and down!

To Virg, PJ and Shawna for running my errands, moving furniture, and being there for me whenever I called for so many things! To my brother G for texting me about every day to check in or chat. We used to talk for hours! Seriously 😳 then I couldn’t anymore. That was hard but he never stopped reaching out 🥰

Another shout out to my brother Patrick yes PJ he’s taking care of me … well always.  He is such a kind and caring man to everyone and always is there for me no matter the time or circumstance he has made time to help fix my entire house. Go on walks with me, teach my kids, and now my grandkids. Thank you bro 😎 I love ya man!!

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 4914 S 2200 W, Taylorsville, Utah.  Please wear your favorite bright color or football apparel (go Viks) to celebrate the joy and brightness of Mary’s life. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Mt. I am so sorry for your loss! I knew Mary for many years, worked, and laughing together. She had a bright personality. She had a great smile and laugh. She loved big and cherished those close to her. I know without a doubt her family was everything to her. May the good memories you made together get you through this challenging time. May God open the heavens and let the blessings you need flow 🌸💐🌺🌷

Mary Jane was loving, giving, strong, courageous and such an energy force. From the time she was a little girl, she had a smile on her face and smiling eyes. She was beautiful inside and out and embraced life to the fullest. Her deep love for her family was always on display. I’ll miss her yearly Christmas cards that kept me updated on all my cousins and her kids. We are so sad for your loss. Much love to all and continuous prayers. Jacquie and Mike.
