Mary Mackay Camden

July 31, 1929 - December 24, 2025

Mary Camden was held in our loving saviors arms December 24, 2025, Christmas Eve, where she passed peacefully with her daughters Carla, LeAnn, Denise, son in law Rick, and granddaughter Chenney, at her bedside.

Born Mary Agnes Mackay, July 31st, 1929 in Bennion Utah, to parents Samual and Rachel Mackay. Mary was the sixth child of seven, and only girl, in a loving home in Salt Lake City, shared with her brothers Glen, Leslie, Joseph, Rex, Rulen, and William.

Mary married her soul mate in Carl Camden in 1950, and sealed in the LDS church in 1952.

Mary received her education from Granite High School then went on the Ex-Cel-Cis Beauty College. Where she practiced her craft for 7 years until her first child was born. After taking time off to raise her 3 daughters, with loving help from her husband Carl, she then became a lead in the Granite District Lunch program serving lunches over 30 years to the children going to school. While also working part time with a prominent catering service.

Mary will always be remembered for her kindness, unwavering integrity, and love for her family. Her laughter and wisdom were gifts to everyone who knew Mary. Her kindness had no bounds no matter who they were.

Mary loved the holidays, and her immaculate yard showed exactly that. Decorations for every occasion, whether it was Easter, or Halloween, to Christmas. You were always greeted with something that showed the season.

Mary is survived by her three daughters, Carla Lynch, Denise Rodgers and LeAnn Knorr along with 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on January 2, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Millcreek, UT.  Guests are encouraged to use the parking and entrance on the north side of the building.

Aunt Mary, You will be missed dearly. I am so glad we were able to spend time visiting, and phone conversation. One thing us Mackay Girls will ALWAYS remember from you, is all of the Birthday cakes you made for our grandpa Rex, your brother. I think you made him about 6 birthday cakes a year. Thank you sweet aunt Mary for passing along the recipe, and all of your love and kindness.
