Max Clark Christiansen

June 15, 1948 - April 8, 2010

Max Clark Christiansen

Our husband, father, grandfather and friend who we admire and adore has passed on to the great fishing hole in the sky on April 8, 2010.

He was born June 15, 1948, to Melvin and Vearl Eliza (Clark) Christiansen in Roosevelt, UT, and married the love of his life, Harriet Christiansen on January 25, 1972.   They shared their lives together for 38 years, loved their 3 children and enjoyed the lives of 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He will be remembered as a family man; first and foremost with courage, strength, a quirky sense of humor and seeing the good in every situation.  He served his country in Vietnam, had a knack for writing poetry and absolutely loved his 5 rail shots.  He touched the lives of many, teaching life lessons and inspiring others.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 13th, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale.

Celebration of his life will be from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at The Woods (6775 South 900 East) Tuesday evening.

In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Wells Fargo Bank in care of the “Max Christiansen Memorial Fund”.

In Loving Memory

I am Jaime, Max's Granddaughter. Max was a second father to me. He & Harriet took me in at 16 when things went south with my parents. I am in forever debt to this man & his surviving wife. They helped shape me into the young lady I needed to be, the wife I am thankful to be and mother that I am today. He was always a family man and went to great lengths to support his family no matter how distant they lived. I can only wish that I live such a fulfilled life as him. I will always love you grandpa. Until we meet again in heaven. Rest easy. Lots & Lots of love

Dear Harriet and Children, I just heard about Max's passing from my mom, who was a good friend of Max and Harriett ever since I was little. Max was a wonderful man that always had a smile and was happy. I appreciate the great example he was to me. I pray that Harriet and the children well be comforted at this time in their life. May the Lord watch over and bless you.. Love, John & Tammy Ahlstrom & Family

Dear Harriett I am so sorry for your loss. Max was always an upbeat guy with a quirky sense of humor. He always made sure there was humor in every conversation. I was always amazed at his physical strength to keep doing carpets as long as he did I don't know many 18 year olds that would have been able to keep up with him. My heart goes out to you and the rest of your family Good luck Rick Madsen "the quack" as Max would say
