Melanie Mounteer died July 28, 2024 in Midvale, Utah of illnesses related to Type 1 Diabetes. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
She was born May 3, 1963 in Murray, Utah and grew up in Sandy, Utah. She graduated from Alta High in 1981. She then earned an Associates Degree in Business from Salt Lake Community College. She worked at American Express for 31 years in customer service and fraud.
Melanie loved cats. She enjoyed making stained glass and jewelry. She could have high spirits and her laughter would fill up the room.
She is survived by siblings Ann Cunningham, Lisa Killian, Mitchell Mounteer (Debbie Hann) and Jeffrey Mounteer, by brother-in-law Bob Brodbeck, and by nephews Brent Killian and Gabe and Josh Brodbeck.
She is preceded in death by parents Glen Mounteer and Evelyn Cline and by siblings John Mounteer and Wendy Brodbeck.
A memorial open house will be held at Starks Funeral Parlor on Saturday September 7 from 1:00PM – 3:00PM.
