Melba 'Billie' Frost Yeske

October 6, 1934 - October 27, 2018

Melba Frost Yeske, (or Billie as we all knew her), a sweet wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on October 27, 2018, after reaching her goal of turning 84, three weeks prior to her passing. Billie was born on October 6, l934, the fifth child of Albert James Frost and Priscilla Ellen Nilson Frost. She married her sweetheart, Donald Lloyd Yeske on March 1, 1952. While Don served in the Air Force they would have the opportunity to live in Hillfield Utah, Coco Beach, Florida and Spokane, Washington. After Don completed his service in the military, Salt Lake City, Utah became their home.
They were the proud parents of four children; Vicky (Ray) Moore, Dan (Janice) Yeske, Scott (Jeanie) Yeske, Cindy (Mike) Endo; eight grandchildren, Chad (Melanie) Moore, Christy (James) Pickens, Aaron (Alysha) Moore, Sara (Nathan) Reed, Morgan (Laurel) Yeske, Megan (Chris)Dawson, Jason Yeske, Adam Garrigues; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Billie loved animals. She loved pet sitting, not only for her children’s pets, but her friends as well. She was an avid reader, and could polish off a 500 page novel in a weekend. She enjoyed going to craft boutiques, and decorating for the holidays. And she had a collection of salt and pepper shakers that kept growing.
Preceded in death by her husband Donald; her parents; a son-in-law, Mike; and five siblings. A grand family reunion is taking place.
We would like to thank nurses Skye and Tabatha and all those at Legacy Village for their tender care of Billie during her recuperation and then in her final days.
A family viewing will be held, Friday November 2, 2018, from 2:00-4:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.
