MICHAEL ALLEN BAXTER
May 12, 1971 – June 4, 2013
Hockey was Baxter's passion and he died during a game among friends and teammates. He was a cancer survivor because of his "angel" Kathy, his stem cell donor. Her gift gave him nine more years of love and happiness with his family and friends, but the harsh cancer treatments had taken a great toll.
Many of you may know Baxter from Home Depot, a job that grew into a career that became a "family."
Michael is survived by his parents Sharon and John Leary (Portland, Oregon); son Brice Baxter-Baker (Portland, Oregon); sons Noah, Aidan, and Lincoln Baxter (Salt Lake); daughter Mikaili Dinerstein and former wife Karyn Baxter (Salt Lake). He was preceded in death by his father Steven Baxter.
A Life Celebration will be held Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Olympus Hills Park, 4500 South 3131 East.
In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite cancer charity.
