Michael Cyde Lockwood

February 16, 1949 - April 11, 2010

Michael Cyde Lockwood

Michael left this physical world on April 11th, 2010 to be with his father Max Chester Lockwood.  He was born on February 16th, 1949 to Clora Dee and Max Chester Lockwood.

He was an avid rock hound and junk collector.  In the warmer months he religiously went on rock hunting excursions (with best friend Tom).  We loved hearing every story and seeing every new “treasure” he brought home.  He was like a kid in a candy shop.  He was the most courageous, kind, loving and giving person we have ever known.  He will be greatly missed.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Linda L. Lockwood; daddy’s girls Angie L. Mair and Miklyn L. England; daddy’s boy Michael Chase Lockwood; adoring grandchildren Katelynn, Kerrstin, Malia, Max and Braxton; his mother; sister Judy Wilson; and brothers Chester and Edward Lockwood.

We will cherish every memory and always hold you in our hearts, we love you!

In Loving Memory

Linda and family I was heartbroken to hear the news of Mike's passing. As was Todd and the boys. No words can possibly express my sympathies for your loss nor can they express my admiration for Mike. I can sum it up by simply saying he was truly one of the good guys. I am certain that he will be missed by many having left an indelible mark in this world with so many people as the kind, loving, generous and wonderful man that he has was to everyone. I feel fortunate to have lived by him and known him. Much love to all of you - it will be difficult without him. Joan Ivie

I want to convey my sincere condolences to Mike's family. I was his classmte at Wasatch High School and remember how nice he was to me. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to visit with him while he was in the hospital awhile back and it was obvious then how much he was loved by his family. Please know that I will miss him too. Every now and then someone touches your life and inspires you. Mike was one of those. I first met Mike in High School. He made you smile to be with him. Later, as I started my wood working business, Mike helped design and mill parts for some of the specialty lathes I built. In spite of his physical challenges he could always build the parts I needed. He was always cheerful and a person I was glad to have as a true friend. He loved his family and often talked about them. He touched many lives for the good, mine included. Wish you all the best.
