Michael Francis Brine

January 26, 1958 - March 16, 2013

Michael Francis Brine
1958 – 2013

Our beloved husband and father, son, brother and friend passed away March 16, 2013, after a brave battle with cancer. Mike was born in Japan to James and Setsuko on January 26, 1958.

He worked hard his entire life to provide for his family who always came first. His greatest joy was his daughters of whom he was extremely proud. Mike loved sports, to travel, coin collecting, camping, and his dogs. There are not enough words to describe the void he has left behind. Though his time with us was too short, Mike will always be remembered for his honesty, integrity, quiet strength and humble personality. He will remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to have known him.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22nd at 12:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where a visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Ave "T" Street, Salt Lake City.

In Loving Memory

Rhea, I'm heart broken for your loss. I have a personal belief that people marry people like themselves. Although I never met Mike I knew him through you and have mourned for your loss. We as a family pray for you and your family in this difficult time. "Fear not I am with thee: be not dismayed for I am thy God and will still give thee aid; I will strengthen thee; yeah I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with right hand of my righteousness" Isaiah 41:10

Rhea, Words cannot describe how heart broken I am for your loss. I heard about Mikes illness but really did not expect it to take him away from you. I am so sorry for your loss, he was such a sweet person, always quiet but so good to you and your girls. I know you will miss him terribly, I cannot imagine how hard it has been for your family to say goodbye. My thoughts are with you and your daughters, hold on to each other, and the dogs. xoxo
