Michael James Desmond~Escorcia
April 21, 1999 - October 11, 2025
Our sweet Michael passed away suddenly on October 11, 2025, at the age of 26, leaving a tremendous empty space in the hearts of all who loved him.
He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on April 21, 1999. Throughout his upbringing in the Salt Lake Valley, he attended schools in multiple communities, building meaningful friendships and experiences that helped shape his life.
A self-taught guitarist, pianist, and photographer, Michael had a deep appreciation for creativity and expression. Music held a special place in his heart and was a constant source of peace and inspiration in his life.
Michael loved nature and found joy in every adventure — whether traveling, hiking, camping, or exploring. His compassion extended to all living creatures, especially the many pets he cared for over the years. Hardworking and skilled with his hands, he took pride in every task and job he undertook, always striving to give his best.
He was intelligent, humble, kind, goofy, and patient. Always ready to lend a hand, Michael had a rare gift for making others laugh and lifting their spirits. His presence inspired everyone around him to be better, kinder, and more genuine — much like he was himself.
He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Michael is survived by his mother, Sharon Desmond; father, Antonio Escorcia; brother, Christopher, and his wife, Mary; sister, Lizzie, and her husband, Jake; his fiancée, Shay; the Brown family; and his beloved pets.

I am so sorry Michael is gone, he was such a talented young man that brightened everyone day. I remember how excited Michael and my son zarek were getting into the music high school. Zarek was so shy but Michael welcomed him in as a friend the first day they met. Sending love and prayers to the family and Sharon .
