With great sadness, Mike passed away peacefully with family and LOVE by his side.
Born on June 7, 1953, in Murray, Utah. Grew up in Kearns, Utah, attended Kearns high school. Mike was a 7 year liver transplant warrior.
Mike’s working career was various maintenance and janitorial employment including 5 years at Walmart.
He enjoyed working on his vehicles, keeping them running and always reminding his sisters on how to take care of their vehicles. He was also skilled as a handyman, willing to help whenever asked.
He is survived by his loyal dog Baby, his son Jared Carson (Margaret), Gavin Rohan, his sisters MaryAnn (Jack), Bennie (Sam), Judy (Doug), Lisa (Robert), Mary, Terrie (Geno), and Jerrie (David). Additionally, he is remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, extended family members, cousins, and friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents Dora and Luis, sister Florence, brothers Louie Rey and Zeke, nephew Denny, brother-in-law Robert, as well as his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Those who knew Mike will remember him for the love he had for his family and the kindness he showed to everyone around him. And sharing his cinnamon candy with everyone he talked with.
Cremation services were held at Starks Funeral Parlor in Salt Lake City, Utah. Burial will be at Memorial Redwood Cemetery in June, 2026. Details when a date is confirmed for family and friends to participate in the burial for both Mike and Zeke will be announced.
