Michal Aaron Daniels
August 8, 1971 - March 11, 2022
Our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew Michal Aaron Daniels never awoke from what appeared to be a peaceful sleep the morning of March 11, 2022, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was 50 years old. He was born, the third of four boys, to Pamela (Bastian) and Robert Aaron Daniels, in Salt Lake on August 9, 1971.
Mike loved music and he loved animals. Like his dad, he became a drummer. In the spirit
of the great rock drummers, he could tear up a set of drums with a steady rhythm and a set of unique beats. Later, as he learned to play the guitar and became a songwriter, he evolved into a one man band. Sometimes he sounded like Johnny Cash playing a lonesome train song. Other times, his voice echoed the angst of Eddie Vedder. Like his mom, he was a great lover of the furry four-leggeds. Not so much the horses, but the pooches. From Dingo Doby, and Toby of his youth; to Shasta, Bear, Indie, and most recently Shia. They spent a lot of time together hiking the mountain trails or having a cold brew. He had a special love for each one of them over the years.
Mike is survived by his mother, Pam, his father Bob, his brothers Russel, Robbie, and Mark and his children Dru, Jake and Kayla and their two Sharla and Kamala, Dylan and April and their two Gloria and Regina, Kenyon and Maria, Kaleb and Kate, Dawson and Lee-Andre, and Keaton. And by a loving host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and their children and grandchildren.
A celebration of Michal’s life will be on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at Starks Funeral Parlor. Guests are encouraged to use the parking on the north side of the building.

I shared the news with my mom and sister this morning. We are so deeply sorry for the loss of Mike. Our hearts and thoughts are with you and your family at this time. I'd also like thank Mike for being so kind all those year ago to play his drums for me on our family trips to SLC and introducing me to the world of Jane's Addiction. Love ya Mike! Rest In Peace old friend.
