Minna Johanna Taber
May 29, 1968 - June 12, 2022
Minna Johanna Taber (née Higley) passed away unexpectedly on June 12th, 2022. She was born in Helsinki, Finland and was adopted by Dennis and Rauni Higley at three months old. She grew up in Vernal, Utah where, at a young age, she was a “tomboy” who loved to get into mud pits, go on river runs with her dad, and play with the family’s dogs, cats, and birds. She was born again at the age of 14 and received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior (2 Corinthians 5:6-8). At the age of 18, she had her first son and first big move to Oklahoma. She later returned to Salt Lake City where she had her daughter, second son, and lived the rest of her life.
Minna was a passionate real estate agent and broker who spent 27 years in the field making countless connections across the valley. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling – especially to warm, tropical destinations, going on river runs or snowmobiling, visiting amusement parks with her children, listening to live music and concerts of all genres, and going camping or boating. She loved hosting or going to get-togethers where all her favorite people could be together in one place. Her love for animals continued throughout her life with averaging two to three pets at a time and no shortage of attempts to rescue more.
She is survived by her three children: Stratton (Laura), Lauren (Logan), and Chandler; as well as her husband, Kelsey; her parents Dennis and Rauni; her sisters Kris and Elina; her granddaughter, Norah; and her numerous lifelong friends. Her tender heart made caring for others come naturally and she loved her family and friends immensely.
A celebration of Minna's life will be on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to park on the north side of the building.

I am so sorry to hear about Minna's passing! I worked at Ulrich Realtors with her and she was always SO KIND and LOVED dogs as much as I did! She would tell me about the stray cat she would lovingly care for because no one else would. She had such a beautiful heart. You will be missed dear Minna.
