Myke Branch

June 9, 1950 - May 11, 2025

Myke Branch, 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Mother’s Day. She was born June 9, 1950, in Rupert, Idaho to Glayde H. and Mary B. Wilcox. She was one of six children: Dennis (Linda), Anita, Karma (Mike), Kim (Melany) and Barbara.

She was married twice and widowed twice – both marriages to men whom she cared for and stood firmly by until the end. She first married R. Kay Bengtzen in May 1973 in Heyburn, Idaho. Together they welcomed R. Matthew (Lisa) Bengtzen and Jessica (Joe Taylor) Bengtzen.

After Kay passed in 1994, she married Robert H. Branch in January 2002 in Cottonwood Heights, UT. Myke and Rob had a life that intersected multiple times. If you believe in destiny, soulmates, or two halves of a whole, they were definitely that. She was exceptionally proud of her kids, but even more so of her grandsons:  Justin, Alex (Jade), Jordan (Emm), Ty, and Ian. She also had three great granddaughters – Joanne, Karren, and Lorali.

She is survived by Matt (Lisa), Jessica (Joe), her chosen family Erin Bengtzen and Josh Stern, her five grandsons, and her three great granddaughters.

Mom was always a very private yet sassy person – she only opened up to a few people in her life but would tell anyone that would listen exactly what she thought. She was a brilliant, beautiful, and strong-willed individual. Mom was always of the belief that family was not just about blood, and as such she was able to be a role model to many people.

The family wishes to thank Intermountain Hospice for their kindness and care during her last days to help her pass with dignity. Per her wishes (and demands) there will be no service at this time. There will be a private celebration of life for Mom and Rob at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
