Nan Bowthorpe
“Remember Who You Are”
Nan passed away July 27, 2011 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born April 18, 1942 in American Fork, UT to Peter and Evelyn Beck. Nan’s love for her children, grandchildren and her first great-grandchild, Elyn, was tremendous and encompassed her life, as she taught them life’s lessons along the way. Her love for life shined in her gardening, her love of music from classical to bluegrass, her passion for incredible cooking, and her amazing sense of humor. She loved camping and made every holiday amazing around her home. We’ll miss you, mom.
She is survived by Gayle Bowthorpe and their children Kelly (Leah), Brady (Ann), Andy (Jakie), Burke, Amanda; 7 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several other extended family members.
Preceded in death by her parents and her sister.
Friends are invited to celebrate Nan’s life on Sunday, July 31st from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Graveside Service will be held at the Holladay-Cottonwood Cemetery, 4900 South Memory Lane on Monday, August 1st at 11:00 AM.
Nan, Gayle, and the children would like to thank Dr. LeGant and the CNS hospice staff, and everyone for their kindness and support.

Kelly & Leah :Oh my Gosh I didn't realize she was just a youngster. She's just the age when Mike's dad died. Too soon, too soon. But now she has some peace from this world's concerns. Sorry for the sadness at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. -Mike & Anita
