Natalie Whitlock Harris
September 13, 1977 - July 11, 2021
Natalie was born very early in the morning of Sept 13th 1977, in Scottsdale Arizona, to Allan and Bobbi Whitlock. She was the third child along with her sisters Erika and Kellie.
When the time came for her to be born, the nurses kept telling her mother “please don’t push, the Doctor is not at the hospital yet.” Her mother and I thought we were going to deliver her all by ourselves. The Doctor walked into the room just in time to catch the baby. This all transpired in a matter of 15 minutes from first contraction to birth. This is the reason why, all throughout her life, she came and went only when she was damn good and ready!
She Married Jeremy Harris in a small ceremony in front of a justice of the peace in Sandy, Utah. She and Jeremy had two beautiful girls, Eden and Lily, and lived most of their life in the Salt Lake Valley. Unfortunately, Jeremy passed away not long after their divorce.
Natalie was a great single mother, and always placed the welfare of her girls first. It was a tough go for her, but she too was also a tough woman. At one point she moved her small family to Coalville, Utah, and found employment in Park City. Coalville is where she met her friend Kellie Rogers, and together they shared many fun and crazy adventures. Some of those adventures also included her many trips to the Huntsman Cancer Institute. She was with her until the end.
Everywhere Natalie went, she quickly made new friends. And those friendships lasted forever. She was unforgettable.
She was very opinionated and told you exactly what was on her mind. She pulled no punches. Like a mother Bear, you didn’t cross her or her cubs. She loved her Children with all her heart, and we will all sorely miss her laughter and whit.
In 2009, she was proceeded in death by her oldest sister Erika. When her time came, Erika was here to lead her to Heaven. We all could feel her presence in that bedroom.
Our Daughter Natalie has bravely faced this “Thief of Years”, for the last Fifteen months. A hideous form of cancer that is only shared worldwide by less than one hundred people, at any given time. So rare that there is no known cure at this time. All the Doctors can do is try to treat some of the symptoms, without causing further damage to other parts of her body. The Huntsman Cancer Institute has been a blessing in this task. They gave 100% in trying to give Natalie a few more weeks of life. But finally, they said “There was nothing more we can do for her.” This was devastating for Natalie and all that love her.
She will be buried alongside her sister at the Murray City Cemetery on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 12:00 noon, to be attended by her family and a few close friends. Following the graveside will be a celebration of her life will be on Saturday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.
In lieu of flowers, Natalie would rather have you make a donation in her name to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
We miss you so much, and hope they have Midget wrestling in Heaven.
In Loving Memory
I just learned tonight by searching that Natalie passed. I write this while crying. I met Natalie in the infusion room at Huntsman's at my last chemo. She was so full of life! I wished I had met her earlier on as the infusion room was so serious. Noone really to visit with except, Natalie changed that light for me. We shared our journey on fb as we messaged each other to update each other of our journey. Natalie didn't always respond back immediately. So I was always patient in waiting to hear from her. Last I knew there was nothing else they could do, but I thought and prayed for hope! I saw her name tonight and then Google it to learn of this saddened news. To her beloved girls and family my prayers are with you and Natalie. May she rest in peace.❤
