Our Angel
Nicholas Joshua Alexander Cortez was born August 14, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Luis Eduardo Cortez and Jaime Russo Cortez. He died in the loving arms of his mother on November 14, 2009. God sent us down an angel for three glorious months. He came like a ray of sunshine–smiling and blowing bubbles. He sprouted wings and rose to heaven.
Nicholas is survived by his parents; his grandparents Deborah Russo (Gene) Evans, Dennis Broadbent, Inez and Nicholas Cortez; brothers and sister Ryan, Nico, Arianna, Anthony, and Riley; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 18 at 12:00 Noon at St. Francis Xavier, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns, where viewing will begin at 10:30. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Starks Funeral Parlor.

We lay only his body to rest-for his soul is in heaven and his heart is with us.
