Nicholas Paul Gray, 87, passed away at home on June 25, 2026.
Nick was born on April 27, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Brandt Paul Gray and Edna Marie Greer. Nick lived in Salt Lake City and graduated from East High School. After high school he joined the Marine Reserves. He later met and married Shannon Kay on October 16, 1964. They were happily married for 62 years until his death.
Nick then went to work for Utah Power and Light and later retired after a 30-year career. During that time Nick worked as a Surveyor and Draftsman.
Nick enjoyed many hobbies over the years including; woodworking, photography, stained glass, hiking and skiing.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gary.
Nick is survived by his wife Shannon; his two children, Christian (Deelyn) and Kelly. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Cameron, Caiden, and Kye.
A viewing will be held at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S 900 E, Salt Lake City on July 9th from 1030-1130 AM. Following the viewing a graveside service will be held at 12pm at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 E 500 S, Salt Lake City.
