Nicholas Sanders Kennedy

September 3, 1981 - October 2, 2010

Nick left us suddenly on October 2, 2010. He was born September 3, 1981 to Barbara “Cait” and Jay L. Kennedy.

Our sweet boy was loving, giving and completely selfless. Nick adored and cared for his family and friends, and most especially his grandmothers, helping out with anything he could. Children and animals adored him. He loved to ski, travel, read, and learn new things. He was fearless, having survived brain cancer at age 11. Nick graduated from Brighton in 2000, had recently graduated from college, and was studying for his radiology license at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his mother; brother Brandon (Hailey); sister Melissa (Miguel); niece Makaylee; and nephew Makai; along with many loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father.

A viewing and wake will be held on Saturday, October 9^th from 6-8 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, SLC.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Nick was a great friend to those who were closest to him. He will be missed. My heart goes out to his grandmother who he spoke lovingly of all the time.

I loved the way Nick was always up for a challenge. He'd push you to ski runs you wanted to avoid. I'll always remember Nick as "Da Man at Alta". The world is a much sadder place with out him. My heart is with the entire Kennedy family.

Nick was a remarkable person and you could immediately sense his strength and the quality of his character when he was around. He was kind and caring and would always go out of his way to make others feel accepted and loved. I know that his spirit lives on in the hearts and thoughts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
