Nola B Harrison

1924 – 2009

Nola B Harrison, 85, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully in her home on June 13th, 2009.

She was born January 31, 1924 to John and Rebecca Howell. She was the youngest of 14 children. On June 7, 1941 she married Cecil Harrison. They had 2 beautiful sons, Lamont and Micheal.

They moved to California where she worked at Lockheed until Cecil joined the Marines. She then moved back to her hometown until after the war. While there she worked at Thiokol for over 12 years. While working at Thiokol she worked as a receptionist where she won a prestigious award for safety.

After Thiokol, Cecil and Nola along with their son Lamont started their own business that evolved into a long and enjoyable career making trophies.  Nola never really retired and even while she was working she was an amazing person. She always put everyone else’s needs ahead of her own.

Nola was survived by her husband Cecil, two grandchildren, Mike (Corina) and Michelle; five great grandchildren, Dave (Heather), Mark, Amanda Draper (Landon), Scott Hess, and Cody; and two Great great grandchildren Madisyn and Bracken.

In Loving Memory

Nola was my Mother-In-Law for eleven years. She was a great and devoted teacher to me and especially the Grandchildren. When she did something, weather it be at work or play or even doing house work she would always give it everything she had. It was a pleasure for me to know her and to be able to share in her lifel She had a great sense of humor. She never shared that to much but when she did you would not forget it!! She opened her home up to Sid, (my husband) as well as Cecil did, but that is just the way they both lived their lives. We love her and she will be greatly missed by all those that knew her.
