Patricia A. Meredith

June 30, 1931 - March 19, 2010

Patricia Ann Meredith

Patricia (nee Harper and Truitt) of West Jordan, Utah (formerly of Los Angeles and North San Diego County), passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on March 19th, 2010.  Patricia was born on June 30th, 1931 in Shawnee, OK.  She was raised by Iona Pearson and John Harper.

Patricia was very proud to be a Panther as an alumna of Paschal High School, Ft. Worth, TX.  She led her family into camping in various parks and at beaches.  She was accomplished in technical drafting work for major aircraft manufacturing companies and was licensed to apply acrylic fingernails.  Patricia was deeply involved in family work to breed, train and show Arabian horses nationally, which resulted in numerous trophies and blue ribbons.

She was a mother, wife and friend and offered a shoulder to lean on whenever we needed one.  She was very active, strong, beautiful and full of life. Her appearance was striking.  Her hair and dress were always lovely.  She decorated our home beautifully and kept it immaculate.

She leaves behind a loving husband of 50 years, Charles Meredith; daughters Lynne Truitt of Ft. Worth, TX, Leslie Shawn Harvey (formerly Dyer) of Salt Lake City, UT (formerly of Southern California), and Randi Meredith-Hartle of West Jordan, UT (formerly of Southern California); 8 beautiful/handsome grandchildren Chris and Matt Truitt, Sheylon, Brianne, Kiri and Jake Dyer, Tyler and Felicia Hartle; and many sad hearts.

Her family and friends loved her very much and will dearly miss her.

Patricia was cremated on March 26th, 2010.

In Loving Memory

I am so sorry to hear of Pat's death. My prayers are with you all. I am sure the last couple of years have been difficult for you. Know that you are in my prayers. I moved out to Utah in 1995 and left in 1998. We were in the same program. Pat was a wonderful friend and confidant. She helped me so much, especially when I came to town. She made sure I felt comfortable and fit in. Oftentimes, we would go to dinner and just talk. I owe Pat a lot for teaching me to be proud of who I am. I still remember some of the things she said to me. We had lost touch after a couple of years and I was trying to find her again. God bless you all and know that Pat touched many lives and helped many people. She was a godsend to me and I am forever grateful to her.
