Patricia Ann Cash

March 7, 1936 - August 24, 2016

Patricia Soltis Cash, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed on Wednesday August 24th, 2016 while surrounded by family, after a long battle with breast cancer.

She was born on March 7, 1936 in Casper, WY to John Paul Soltis II and Linda Sarcletti Soltis, originally from Rock Springs, WY. Patricia graduated from Judge Memorial Catholic High School in 1954. In 1955 she married William Cash(deceased 2009) in her lifetime parish, St. Ambrose Catholic Church .

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by three children: Linda Devin (Mike), Bill Cash (Tracy), and Annmarie Wright (Merrick), her brother John Paul III (Christine) and their 2 children, nine grandchildren, eight and a half great-grandchildren, as well as her lifetime "ladies that lunch" whom met in 5th grade and were featured in intermountain Catholic newspaper. These ladies are still best friends and lunch every other week.

She was President of the Italian American Civic League for 4 years where she implemented the recognition of lifetime members, was officer of the Salt Lake Council of Women, a girl scout leader, and volunteered at Cosgriff.

Patricia taught all those around her what true, unconditional, love was. As matriarch she never missed a birthday complimented with a handwritten card, a full song of happy birthday, and a lunch date of your choice. She never missed the grandkids sports games, school performances, and always wanted to cook everyone's favorite dish when they came to visit (even if they were not hungry). Her side splitting sense of humor, compassion, and putting family above all else has been instilled in her family, friends, and all who knew her. The values she transcended as a mother were unprecedented and will be remembered for generations.

In Loving Memory

I learned only last night about Pat's death. I'm so sorry, because I would have come to her service. She was dear to me at our condo, despite so much suffering. Bless you all for being good to her. I do the condo gardens and will miss her every time I pass her door.
